suma suma summertime!

moving into a new home helps with the purging of unwanted/unused items so when we offered to have a garage sale my mom quickly took us up on the offer to bring over and sell several of her "antiques". since she and kevin moved into their new home she's come to realize that there are many things that she can live without. while setting up for the sale, emily and i found some interesting goods that my mom decided she could part with. for example, the renzino sale included the following items that all somehow sold, a gold bird door stop, a platic dog cone collar, a wire fly swatter, and multiple (3!) eggbeaters. i can now attest to the saying that one man's trash is another man's treasure.

after surviving the sale we decided to relive our hillbilly tour of hendricks county and make a stop by the hazelwood fish fry for the second year in a row. some great friends accompanied us and we all enjoyed some warm/borderline uncomfortable summertime weather, yummy food, tractor pulls, and bingo of course (duh!). it only took 2 games for steve to reclaim his coverall title. his winnings helped to pay for my pricey, yet very yummy root beer float ($4, yikes!). playing made us all realize that we need to have a bingo tournament in the very near future...details to come, don't you worry!
