going to the chapel

so today is a big day. not for me, but for my mom. she will no longer be a markworth because in a 6 hours...she's getting married! she and her fiance, kevin, have been dating for a few years now so it'll be great to see them make it official and say "i do". i may be more anxious for the vows to be exhanged than she is. that's just the type A in me. and fortunately i've been able to do a little self examination through this whole wedding "planning" process. whereas my mom is spontaneous and easy going, i am much more anal about the ins and outs of planning, making schedules, and here's the big one....having things done my way. ahhh, it's sad but true. i was a bit of a control freak this past week trying to get things done the way i thought would be best, but was thankfully called out (in love) by my hubby. today's special ceremony will be just fine without me trying to run the show. i'll be a supportive daughter and witness and will enjoy sitting back and going with the flow. easier said than done i'm sure, but i'll do it and probably learn a a thing or two. regardless, i'm so very happy for my mom and kevin...congratulaions, many blessings, and enjoy hawaii!
