thankful

this Christmas provided a great opportunity for reflection on what is the most important in my life and to help properly gear up for 2011.
spending time with family is always something i'm thankful for during this special holiday, however this verse found in luke sums up what the true reason for the season is and has helped me to refocus. these last few days it's been easy to be sidetracked by presents, games, gift cards, and food. so reading and rereading this reminds me that Christ came to earth for all of us to gain life everlasting through Him. thank you Jesus and happy happy birthday!
