i'll go ahead and welcome turning 29 with open arms. this birthday comes close to topping the cool factor to many preceding birthdays. typing, and now looking, at 29 seems ancient since i am now uber close to tipping the scale and leaving my 20s, but after quite a few birthday wishes from past and present friends i have come to realize that i am beyond blessed to have some great people in my life. between my in-laws and my own family i was well taken care of this past weekend....maybe a little too well taken care of .
so the above picture highlights my little crush on dwight k. shrute. my family knows me well and had my fav character plastered atop of a yummy dq cake. no birthday is quite complete without a dq cake, one of which i enjoyed 2 pieces of in a single sitting. in addition to a great cake that brought many laughs steve topped off my bday celebration with the yellow apron that i wore all day that reads: "i love my italian stallion". it's true, i cannot lie :o)
so for those of you who called, sent cards, texted, and facebooked thank you very much! day #1 of age 29 is treating me very well.
