howdy neighbor!

the past couple weeks we've noticed an increased amount of traffic at our next door neighbor's house. we've lived in our home for 2 1/2 years, and so has our neighbor, sharon. well, up until the beginning of march. i had to send steve over to investigate what was going on next door b/c: 1. i'm a concerned (or just plain paranoid) neighbor and 2. the cars in their driveway were spilling into ours and creating an obstacle course each time i left home...not cool. so apparently sharon has a son, and this son is now living next door, along with his 2 cars that don't fit in his garage. okay, no big deal...but during steve's brief encounter with our neighborhood's newest resident (i happened to over-hear while intently listening through the window to their conversation) this gentleman, mike, is a 30 something divorcee and that he wanted to apologize, in advance, to us for any "friends" we may notice coming and going from his place. not just any friends, oh no. and since i want to keep this blog PG i'll play a little word game to help you understand how mike described these "friends". play along....the first word rhymes with slipper and is sometimes used to reference a female dancer. got it? alright, the second word rhymes with doors and is a super derogatory word for women. now pair those two together and you've got the "friends" that mike anticipates visits from. this could make for an interesting summer, but for now march madness definitely is a fitting term to describe this month in a nutshell. p.s. anyone in the market for a waterfront home??
